Backlinks
What are backlinks? Without backlinks, the whole
Internet would be lost to itself. Often referred to as "links",
backlinks make the web go around. They are the backbone, the
framework of the Internet. A website without a backlink is like
being blind, deaf, and dumb. No one would ever find you - you
would never find anyone else, period.
So, what is the relationship between backlinks and exposure
overall? By using backlinks effectively and creatively, can you
drive quality traffic to your site? Are there good techniques
to use backlinking methods that will get you on a first name
basis with Google?
Most affiliate and network marketers wake up every morning
asking themselves how they are going to use some form of
backlinking today and be wealthier for it. But many internet
marketers are still scratching their heads over these backlink
issues.
Consider that Google, the number one search engine presence
on the Internet today, is in love with backlinks. Google
invented the term SEO, search engine optimization. This is a
standard recipe that is applied to the content of the Internet
to rank for inclusion into their data base.
SEO pays close attention to a criteria that should be met.
There are many variables but three of the most important keys
are keywords, backlinks and relevancy. The proper use of
backlinks within articles, posts, and websites can effect a
site's exposure more than any other detail. The Internet
breaths on links.
Some links are valued more than other links. Backlinks from
some obscure directory site is not worth a whole lot. A quality
link within a blog post that points to more relevant
information is golden.
A good blogger will know to include at least four backlinks
within an article that will point to other websites or blogs
that are relevant to the topic the blogger is writing the post
about. By also using the right keywords to structure this
article, the post will get submitted, land on the first page of
Google's "blog" search engine, then stay in place for a long
time.
Take out the backlinks of this post, it still might end up
on the first page, because the right keywords are structured.
Yet, without the backlinks in place anymore, this article will
fall down and end up buried on page 6 of the search engine,
within a very short time.
The above example plays itself out every single time anyone
writes anything online for submission. Websites will suffer the
most without good backlinks in them. Without good backlinks
structured properly, Google indexes the site and gives it a low
priority in rank. Then the site could die a slow Internet
death. With no one finding this website, no sales are being
made.

You could have the best looking website on the Internet but
if you are not paying close attention to backlinks, this will
kill your business unless you are willing to pay a service to
get traffic to your site. A lot of business owners and Internet
marketers will do this.
Most of us would rather get the free organic traffic. This
is the type of traffic that is naturally tied into backlinks.
Some experts claim that building backlinks into your content
can account for up to 90% of the SEO process and this might
really be true!
The Internet turns on reciprocal links. These are links that
are swapped between one website and another. You scratch my
online back, then I will scratch yours. Reciprocal links only
work best if you are swapping links with someone who has a blog
or website that is relevant to your own.
The highest form of Internet flattery is to receive one way
links to your website. When another website owner visits your
site and finds that it is relevant, informative and provides
good quality service to others, they become so emotional that
they post a link to your site. They don't ask you for anything
in return. This is like someone patting you on the back for a
job well done.
One way backlinks are not something that you can go out
barter for. The best way to start getting these backlinks is to
be writing and creating excellent content for your visitors. It
is also posting your own one way links to others, expecting
nothing in return.
One way links are not only pats on the back, these backlinks
are the most powerful links you can receive or give to someone.
Google loves one way links. This tells Google that you are a
"goodfella". Soon you get indoctrinated into a higher, more
trusted rank with Google. Being on a first name basis with
Google is golden.
If everyone wrote their content with one way links in mind,
the Internet would have it all. The best sites, the best
forums, the best blogs and the best online experience for
everyone.
